WELCOME TO OUR MEDIEVAL COMBAT AND TRAINING SECTION.
Training focuses on stance and footwork, endurance, positioning, technique, and showmanship.  After basic knowledge in sword and shield is gained through our instructors, each participant is allowed to choose from a vast array of armour, weaponry, and combat styles to his own specific liking.  Individualized training begins to create a unique character.  Safety is top priority therefore grappling and thrusting of weapons is banned from combat.

While research of specific weaponry is useful for the new participant, it is not mandatory.  Basic combat knowledge and experimentation of the weapon in practice, allows for a valuable and first hand learning experience on the weapon's fundamentals.  One is always encouraged to test out “a new move” in a controlled manner at our training facility.

Each battle is approximately 3 minutes long and is scored by a referee.
A solid strike to your opponent's head, torso, arm (above the elbow), and leg (above the knee) scores you one point.  Disarming your opponent scores you one point.  You lose one point if you strike your opponent in the groin, or while your opponent has his back towards you.  The participant with the most points during the round wins the match and is declared the victor.  All points awarded are at the referee's discretion.  All decisions are final .
