During the presentation, participation from the students and teachers is encouraged to help explain certain topics such as Feudal System, the Magna Carta, and Heraldry. After a brief introduction about Blades of Glory, a variety of topics are covered.

Items placed on display include: Armour (chainmail, brigadine, scale, and plate - replica Milanese from 1390); Helmets (Great, Sutton Hoo (Viking), Pig Face Bascinet, and Spangenhelm); Weapons (swords, mace, axe, flail); beeswax candle, spurs, medieval watch, a drinking horn, and banners. Many of our members construct chainmail and plate armour.
Harry Heydon has worked for over ten years with children and youths with behavioural problems within the school and group home systems. He was a supply teacher, 1 to 1 worker, childcare worker, youth counsellor, operated a school for suspended students from four local schools (1 secondary & 3 elementary including 2 Section 19 classes). He now supervises the Section 20 Elementary School in Campbellford, Ontario. Students can use their many senses through the presentation to aid in the learning and retention process.
Blades of Glory was formed in 1994, and implemented this “hands on”

~ Seminars are presented to 2 to 3 classes at one time.
~ Presentations are held in a gymnasium, or library (depending on the size)
~ The use of 3 tables (approx. 5’ to 6’ each) and 2 chairs is required
~ Each presentatiion takes 30 to 45 min to setup
